What a week!
First off, I did the reading of Philip Dawkin's beautiful new play, FAILURE: A Love Story, directed by David F. Chapman. After a week of rehearsals, we read and sang to a fully packed house! And the best feeling of all is that I know the audience enjoyed themselves just as much as we did onstage. What a pleasure it was working with Philip and David, and be able to play with an absolutely lovely cast of incredibly talented actors all week long. Many thanks to The Lark for giving us the space and resources to develop this piece!

I also shot a viral web commercial for NOVA, a French radio station, early on Saturday morning. It was a blast! I love doing on camera work, because you just never know what's going to happen. I had an ATM literally spewing fake cash at me, flying everywhere, on a random street in Chinatown. Tourists and passerby stopping and staring, trying to grab the money themselves...we definitely caused a scene!

Paradoxal Inc. is the studio who shot the project, and I am very impressed by their work. Check it out! I can't wait to see the final product!
September 12th, 2011
I will be doing a reading at The Lark Play Development Center, later this month! It's a new play called "FAILURE: A Love Story" by Philip Dawkins, directed by David Chapman. The reading is part of The Lark's Playwright's Week, September 20-24. Some info on the show, according to The Lark's website:
- Set in thriving 1928 Chicago, we follow the three Fail sisters, all of whom happen to die within the same year, and the one man who falls in love with each of them. A play about the journey, not the destination, about why we fall in love with who we fall in love with and how. It's about loss, success, and failure. But mostly, it's about love.
Looking forward to getting into the rehearsal room and dig into this piece with a group of very talented artists! :)!

August has been extremely productive. First off, I am now working with Annette Alvarez of Multi-Ethnic Management. She is fantastic and I am looking forward to a fall full of auditions and new opportunities, with her help.
I am also get my butt back into class to work on those actor skill! I auditioned for, and was accepted, into Austin Pendleton's advanced scene study class at HB Studio for the fall. Class starts next week.
I also spent these last 4 days in Bob Krakower's on camera audition technique class, and I must say that my mind is completely blown! I learned so much in that short amount of time, and am really looking forward to continuing on camera coaching with him in his advanced student classes throughout the fall.
This coming week, I will be shooting a few things for a medical industrial project. I haven't worked off a teleprompter in awhile, so this will be a nice change. Plus, I will be shooting a few things in front of a green screen! Fun! Happy fall!
August 1st, 2011
Happy August everyone! It has been a busy summer! I had a wonderful time workshopping a new musical with my fellow Bats, written by the talented Jenny Schwartz and Todd Almond. Then I enjoyed a lovely artistic retreat in the Catskills at The Orchard Project, working on THE POP PROJECT, a new musical by Ellen Maddow. I took two weeks off in the Florida sunshine to visit friends and family, and came back to New York refreshed and ready to get the ball rolling!
Taking some time to get back in to class and keep myself and my acting chops at the top of the game! I currently am taking a two week on camera class with Erica Jensen of Calleri Casting, and am having a blast and learning alot. Coming up are classes with Annette Alvarez of Multi-Ethnic Casting, as well as scene study and improv classes in the fall semester at HB Studio and UCB.
And...I am now officially an AFTRA member! Looking forward to the rest of this summer and the upcoming months :).
